Skand Shasti Mahayagya is in October or November which starts from third day of Diwali and ends in sixth date of Diwali. Among these days Sixth day is the most important date. In this various type of Yagya, Havan, Pooja, and Anusthan are performed. This festival is done by South Indian Vedachariyas. Not only people from bhilai but people from different cities and Abroad like America, England, Russia etc. come to take participation and providing seva in “Skand Shasti” MahaYagya.

Skandashram Bhilai organizes big events entire year. Among these the first is “Kavadi Yatra” (Taipusam) which is a full day festival. This festival is in the month of January or February based on the muhurat. There is a shobha yatra for this festival. Kavadi yatra is done please Lord Kartikeya and show him faith and love. There is a Rath in which Lord Kartikeya is placed. Behind which there are two columns, in which one column is for male Skand devotees and second for female Skand devotees. In the middle of these two columns there is a space to dance. Mens have to wear white dhoti while Kavadi yatra.

Burn Unit Camp
Skandashram is always ready to serve humanity, and its main focus is to serve peoples. While giving there sevas Skandashram found that the “Burn Unit Durg(Government hospital)” was in very bad condition. Hence the ratio of saving burnt people was very low. read more
Diabetes Treatment Camp
Skandashram Bhilai organizes free Diabetes camp which is performed under the supervision of Dr. Suri Virendra(Revival Medical Store). In this camp 90 patients registration have been done. In early morning P.P and fasting patients’ breakfast is arranged. There was a session of slide show based upon which diabetes treatment solutions are given to diabetic patients. read more
Plastic Surgery Camp
Under Skandashram Shashmug steering committee performs various sevas outside Skandashram also. Among this series “Parekh Charitable Trust” organizes free health camps. In this camp around 960 patients were treated. Plastic surgery camp Bhilai is organized in Bhiali Steel Plant Sector-1. In this camp American NRI, famous Doctor Late Shri Sharad Kumar Dixit was providing his seva. read more
